These roles are an excellent entry point into the NHS, offering hands-on experience, full training and opportunities for career progression, including access to nursing and occupational therapy apprenticeships.
You'll work closely with patients, their families and carers, playing a vital part in ensuring everyone who uses our services has a positive and supportive experience. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll work alongside nurses, activity coordinators, social workers and occupational therapists, offering you a unique chance to learn from different specialties every day.

If you are new to Health Care we will place you on a HCSW induction programme to ensure that you are fully trained and supported to perform the role. The programme will last for up to 6 months and during this period of training you will be paid a salary of 25272. On completion of your training period your salary will rise to 25760 as per the advert.

We are looking for Healthcare support workers across our mental health services;
Melbury lodge-adult mental health wards in Winchester
Parklands-adult mental health wards including older person mental health in Basingstoke
Children and adolescent mental health(CAMHS) inpatient wards; Bluebird, Austen and Serenity across Tatchbury Mount and Winchester
Elmleigh in Havant and The Orchards in Southsea.
We are also recruiting community support workers across our Community Intensive Rehab and older person mental health services that are Monday -Friday in the Portsmouth area.
Forensic services; Southfield(Tatchbury Mount) Calmore or Ravenswood In Fareham. There is an additional forensic lead payment of 1401 pro rata, per annum for these services.
You will assist and support qualified staff, carrying out assigned tasks as directed, without supervision. This will include housekeeping duties where required.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, using them to engage, persuade or negotiate with clients with complex or challenging needs to ensure they receive the most appropriate care and support.
Following the latest Home Office legislation, Band 2 and Band 3 roles are not eligible for visa sponsorship. If it is identified that you require sponsorship to undertake this role your application may be withdrawn.
