An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our 0-19 team as an associate practitioner (AP) in HIOWH NHS Foundation Trust. You will work primarily with children from birth to 7 years and their families, alongside experienced Health Visitors to deliver elements of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009)

If successful you will be supported through a specially developed training programme with skilled support and guidance from the health visiting team.
To work with the 0-19 service, supporting the Health Visiting Team with the Healthy Child Programme and delivering short- and medium-term interventions to support parents and carers to be responsive and positive in the interactions with their children.
To be an active member of the 0-19 team supporting delivery of the Healthy Child Programme core contacts and delivery of the 6 high impact areas which are part of the healthy child programme.
To implement and evaluate packages of care at Universal, Targeted and Specialist levels of the Healthy Child Programme which is led by Health Visitors and Public Health Nurses.
To work in partnership with other agencies and families and contribute to innovative ways of working with children and families

NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, BTEC National Diploma in Childrens Care, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care & Education or equivalent experience
City and Guilds Work with Parents NVQ level 4 qualification or ability to complete

Attachment in the Early Years qualification
